WRX TSX Retrofit
I took the dive about a month ago and decided to build a set of my own TSX projector headlights for my 05 WRX. Ever since I first saw a picture of Caesar's first scooby retrofit...I knew I would have an eternal void in my life unless I got a set of them for my car. And since I am always broke, I pretty much had no choice but to make my own. After a couple weeks of frustration, lots of swearing, a few cuts and scrapes, numerous PM's to Caesar at all ours of the night/day, and the bitter cold weather in my garage, I finally completed them. I think they turned out pretty good for my first retrofit.
The whole project took me about 3 weeks to complete from start to finish. I probably could have gotten everything done in a week, but I was only really doing work on them on the weekends. I didn't want to rush anything too since I only had one set of extra headlights to work with. It was a lot of work, but in the end everything was completely worth it. Enjoy the pics. My setup: Stock 2005 WRX headlights TSX projectors (color-modded) E46 bezels (painted black metallic) Phillips 4300K HID bulbs STI ballasts Chrome turn signal bulbs (amber) LED parking lights (amber) Here are some pics I took during the build: ![]() ![]() Here are some pics from after everything got finished: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by steverx; 03-19-2007 at 11:22 PM.. |

The blacked out housings and shrouds look pretty good!!! It just looks like you need to raise up the driver side adjustment so you can only see one slope.other than that it looks great!

Yeah, the picture makes the driver's side look a little off...it's actually pretty close. The washer mod probably makes it look a little weird too. I won't be adding washers to my projects in the future. I only did this time because one of my projectors was looking funky without any washers and looked a little better when I added them in.
