Anyone see the Audi S8?

One passed me the other day and I was in awe. It had these superwhite LED bars on each side of the front bumper right under the headlamps.

I would love to retrofit that into my bumper.

Any information would be helpfull!

is this what your talking about?? i looked up some other pics and i dont think all s8's have them, maybe its and upgrade option?? i would love to see them lit up at night but i couldnt find any pics. you could even do them in the rear bumper for backup lights.......or maybe signal lights if you can find a way to put amber led's in them?? all kinds of opportunities lol.

a little OT, but I saw an Aston martin the other day. I think it was the 2007 V8 Vantage.
The headlights had a similar LED bar but it was along the upper part of the headlights and it looked like eyebrows.
Looked pretty sweet to me.

yea if i get any more info ill let you know caesar. they would probly be hard to find used though since they are new to the 07's i believe. and the stealership would most likely charge an arm and a leg for them. where are you thinking of putting them on your bumper?

i think something like that would look cool inside of the headlamp, maybe on the top with amber or white led's so they look like eyebrows. kinda like the new bmw 5 series lights.

Hmm, maybe not with the stock bumper but if you had something like the INGS front end it could fit ?

I saw one the other day also. It look very unique. The 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Led turn signals are very similar. I check with the dealership and lets just say the setup with modules was around $700. It was actually funny because the parts guy was thinking that I had a wrecked one when I initially called him.

I wonder what kind of LEDs are in those things? Based on the brightness of those LEDS I would guess they are Luxeon K2 or something similar. Definitely not superflux, since they don't come in white.(other than the cheap hong kong variety). It may be easier and definitely cheaper to make a set yourself.

How would you flush mount these to your bumper? I think that would be the hardest part.

I seen a car with those once a week by my job for last 6 months; it looks great. I would like to have those in my bumper too.
I tought they were fog lights because are so low and bright for just parking lights, but may be wrong.
Do you think cops will harrass you for having those in a different car than the Audi?

I dont think cops would say anything, they are like fog lamps in a way, but stand out way more.

I saw one AGAIN yesterday, and couldnt stop looking in my rear view mirror.

Over the summer I will go to an Audi dealership and check it out in person.

There are good high qaulity superflux made in white, even with more than one chip in the package as well.
